Etymology
From Old Ardian ⲥⲏⲗⲧ, inherited from Proto-Radic *cêltht, from Proto-Hirdic *kɛ̄́lt-, from Proto-Laenkean *kʼæjltʼ-. Cognate with Lusetian tsael, Radestrian cĵát, Riyan kailtad and Laefevian geldad (“to jump”).
