Etymology
From Old Lusetian hirrænns, inherited from Proto-Radic *hirhænhs, from Proto-Hirdic *p̄irhǽnṯəs, from Proto-Laenkean *pepr̥hǽntæs. Cognate with Radestrian hregans, Riyan firâs and Laefevian erpent (“charcoal”).
