From Old Riyan țaor, from Proto-Riyanic *c̱ɤ́ră (“meal”), from Proto-Hirdic *thɤ̄́ḏəs (“food, meal”), from Proto-Laenkean *tʰajdas (“to sate”). Cognate with Radestrian þjers (“food”).
