Etymology

From Old Riyan sūnt, from Proto-Riyanic *swóntu, from Proto-Hirdic *swónthus (“wheel”), from Proto-Laenkean *swontʰos (“to spin”). Cognate with Radestrian rvanþs and Laefevian sônt.
